В статье рассматривается основное содержание Договора об обычных вооруженных силах в Европе (ДОВСЕ) с точки зрения эффективности его в современных условиях. Основной акцент сделан на влияние ДОВСЕ на российско-американские отношения в контексте системы международной безопасности, созданной после Второй мировой войны.

In the article described the main contents of the Contract on restriction of conventional arms in Europe from the point of view of its efficiency in modern conditions. The main emphasis is placed on influence of the CFE on the Russian-American relations in the context of system of the international security created after World War II.
