Актуальность публикации вызвана, во-первых, 80-летием победы многонационального советского народа и   его Вооруженных сил в  битве под Курском; во-вторых, возрастанием роли и   значения военно-патриотического воспитания молодого поколения, которое является барометром российского общества. На основе архивных материалов Российского центра хранения и  изучения документов новейшей истории, Центрального архива Министерства обороны Российской Федерации, Института Российской истории, Военно-медицинского музея и   других архивов, материалов фронтовых и  армейских газет, военных мемуаров военачальников РККА, таких как Маршалы Советского Союза Г.  К.   Жуков, А. М.  Василевский, И. С.  Конев и   др. рассматривается идейно-политическая работа в   частях и  соединениях тылового обеспечения войск в   битве под Курском, мужество и  героизм воинов тыла, обеспечивших войска всеми видами вооружения и   боевой техники, боеприпасами и  горючим, продовольствием и  снаряжением.

The relevance of the publication is caused, firstly, by the 80th anniversary of the victory of the multinational Soviet people and its Armed Forces in the Battle of Kursk; secondly, by the increasing role and importance of military-patriotic education of the younger generation, which is a   barometer of Russian society. Based on archival materials of the Russian Center for the Storage and Study of Documents of Modern History, the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Institute of Russian History, the Military Medical Museum and other archives, materials of front-line and army newspapers, military memoirs of military commanders of the Red Army, such as Marshals of the Soviet Union G. K.   Zhukov, A.  M.  Vasilevsky, I.  S.   Konev the ideological and political work in the units and formations of the rear support of the troops in the battle of Kursk, the courage and heroism of the rear soldiers who provided the troops with all types of weapons and military equipment, ammunition and fuel, food and equipment are considered.
