Innovative Sector of the USA: State Policy and Tendencies of the Last Years

Abstract

In the article specifics of the national innovative system (NIS) of the USA, and also key features and tendencies of the state support of science and innovations in a section of classification of measures of the American state policy in this sphere are considered. The author comes to a conclusion that the USA still has essential advantages in the sphere of science and innovations in comparison with other countries and possesses the largest and most powerful NIS in the world. At the same time in recent years because of global financial and economic crisis of 2008 -2009, NIS of the USA faces serious calls. A number of actions for fight against these calls has been already undertaken. However the USA still should make a lot of things for preservation and strengthening of the global leadership.
