The scientific and practical journal "Administrative Consulting" is issued since 1995. Originally the North-West Academy of Public Administration, Administration of Veliky Novgorod, Municipal educational institution of vocational training "Center Dialog" were its founders.

Since 2012 a publisher of the journal is North-West institute of Management of the RANEPA, the founder Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Moscow).

Among authors of the journal, there are outstanding Russian and foreign scientists, politicians, cultural figures.

Since 2013 the journal is published monthly.

According to the decision of Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, in 2011 it was included in the List of the leading reviewed scientific journals.

Now it is included in the List of Higher Attestation Commission  on the following branches of sciences:

5.2.2; 5.2.3; 5.2.5. - Economic Sciences
5.5.1; 5.5.2; 5.5.3; 5.5.4 - Political Sciences
5.4.4; 5.4.5; 5.4.7 - Social Sciences

Materials are placed on pages of scientific electronic library and lybrary CyberLeninka The journal is included in the international bases DOAJ, Ulrichs' Periodicals Directory.
