Capacity of the Region in Enhance Economic Security in the Provision of Food

Abstract
Goal: to identify and analyze threats to economic security in the food sector of the Republic of Mordovia and their sources.
Methods: a systematic approach, economic and statistical analysis, comparative analysis, generalization and interpretation of the results.
Results and discussion: the materials of the Republic of Mordovia analyzed the development of agricultural production over the past ten years, identified the main threats to economic security in the field of food supply and their sources, formulated proposals for the prevention and neutralization of threats
Conclusions. Conclusions are made about the existence of factors threatening the sustainable development of agriculture of the Republic of Mordovia, which requires the adoption of urgent measures to prevent and neutralize the identified threats.
