The System of Economic Foundations of Old Rus’ Sociopolitical Development (Mid-8th -Early 11th centuries)
Abstract
In the present article, the author describes the system of economic foundations of cultural and sociopolitical history of the oldest Rus’ communities in Eastern Europe in mid- 8th - early 11th centuries. The system is reconstrusted as a group of seven subsystems - these are trade, fiscal, administrative, military, diplomatic, religious and mercenary-contractual ones.
