Problems of Evolution of Multimodal Transportations in International Trade

Abstract

In the article questions of evolution and applicability of multimodal transportations in international trade are investigated. The author writes about planning and design of multimodal transportations and about a role of the operator of such transportation in this planning. In the work problems of efficiency of multimodal transport system and modernization of its three basic elements, such as commercial practice, administrative requirements and transport infra-structure are considered. Based on the made research the author has come to conclusions about ways of improvement and development of multimodal transportation of goods.
